There are going to be times in life when all of us take risks. In fact, we probably take them on a daily basis and we don’t even realize we are doing it. Quite obviously, some of those risks are going to pay off and others are going to end up falling flat. Our only hope is that those that pay off do so big enough that it is going to make up for any that fall short of the mark. This is true of life in many different cases and even if we don’t gamble, we still end up gambling with these everyday events. Sometimes, it even comes across loud and clear in ways that we don’t really consider.
If you’ve ever seen The Price is Right before, you realize that there is some serious gambling taking place on the show. It isn’t the type of gambling that they do in Las Vegas, although the prizes can be just as large or larger. It really has to do with making an educated guess and perhaps even shouting out to the audience to see if they can help you with the response. Every once in a while, however, you just need to go for it. If you win, it is going to be a huge payoff but if you lose, you have to walk off the stage in disgrace.
When it comes to supporting the people gambling on The Price Is Right, you really can’t beat what Bob Barker did. He was the host of the show for many years and he always seemed to have the most interesting things to say when people were gambling with the answer. That includes in this case, where somebody decided to gamble big.
There are going to be times in life when we regret something that we did. That regret may even make us cringe for many years after we did it.
