Dog Adopted After 4 Years In The Shelter Breaks Out Into A Happy Dance

There is just something about dogs that seems to touch our heart. It is also true that as they get older, people tend to overlook them when it comes to choosing a dog from the pound. Some people even go so far as to get rid of an older dog so that they can get a new puppy. It really is just a sad truth. We don’t all subscribe to it, but it can happen. Quite simply, some people can handle what happens when you have an older dog and for Dreadlock, it was a problem.

Dreadlock is a dog who is 10 years old and he has been in the shelter for four years. When he came in, he had severe skin problems and some real issues with his fur. That is how he got his name in the first place. He may seem tough but the fact of the matter is, he loved being cuddled and he is a gentle dog who is calm and needs lots of love. He doesn’t get excited about much, according to the Sol dog foundation.

There was a volunteer that was about to make his day a lot brighter. He came to him and said some very powerful words and before you know it, Dreadlock was on his feet and doing a fantastic dance. It is the dance that put a wonderful smile on my face. Now that he has been told the good news, he will be leaving for his forever home and have the opportunity to get the life he deserves.
