Little Boy Who Got His Head Stuck Playing in a Cat Climbing Tree Is All of Us

At my house, we have lots of cats, and that means a lot of cat toys. We do only have two cat trees, but we have a ton of shelves up on the walls that are there for no purpose except for the cats to climb on and play on. In short, our house is a veritable cat playground, with gigantic heavy-duty cat scratchers everywhere, comfy cat beds, and toys galore. Because cats are fickle, the manufacturers of cat toys and climbing trees have to get creative so that cats are enticed to play with/on them. So it’s no wonder that we’re all a little jealous and wish we could play, too.

One little four-year-old boy from Waukesha, Washington found out the hard way that not everything that our pets have to play with is OK for us humans to play with. Cynthia Olson said that she was in the garage when she heard her son Parker scream. Naturally, Cynthia did what any mom would do. She ran inside to see what was happening. To her astonishment, she saw something she’ll never forget (and I’ll never forget it, either, now that I’ve seen the pics). Cynthia’s little boy had managed to get himself stuck inside the cat climbing tree. Amazingly, other than being frustrated, Parker was totally fine.

Once she realized that Parker wasn’t in danger, Cynthia burst out laughing (like any fun mom would, myself included). Parker wasn’t amused, to say the least. However, how the heck was Cynthia going to get him out of his predicament? Apparently, she couldn’t get him out on her own because she had to call in reinforcements in the form of a team of firefighters. Eventually, the brave first responders arrived at the home and helped get the little guy untangled from the cat tree. Cynthia recounted what happened in the 9-1-1 call she made.

She said that the 9-1-1 operator was confused because apparently, no kid has ever gotten their head stuck in a cat tree before. After it was all over, Cynthia posted the photos in the hugely popular Catspotting Society Facebook group, where they went viral very quickly. She was quick to point out that the little boy was completely fine and not in any way injured. She indicated that she tried desperately to help him out, but because she’s short, she couldn’t get up there and lift him straight out, so play B was calling the fire department.

In a video recorded by WDJT-TV, one of the firefighters involved in the incident said that it was actually a pretty good time for Parker because he was excited to see the firemen in his house.

What little boy doesn’t dream of meeting real-life firefighters up close and personal? Parker now has bragging rights.

These guys were in HIS house.
