Mama Cat Pulls Double-Duty When Humans Give Her A Different Type Of Baby

We sometimes hear about strange bedfellows. I think that we would agree that, generally speaking, birds of a feather flock together, and strange bedfellows come in where the mold is broken.

This was seen in an interesting way in the case of Pusha the cat. That feline lives in a Park in Crimea, and it is a story that is going to touch your heart in so many ways.

At the time, the feline was already nursing four kittens but it wasn’t long before her family grew. She had some humans taking care of her and they introduced four orphaned baby squirrels into the mix.

We’ve heard of cats that were able to nurse a litter of puppies before but this is the first time we’ve heard of a cat nursing some orphan squirrels. They weren’t quite sure how it would go at first, but after a little hesitancy on the part of the little ones, they got used to the idea.

It wasn’t long before the humans were helping them to adapt to their new place in life. Even Pusha was helping them by nudging them gently so that they could overcome their shyness.

It was a moment that really made a difference in the lives of many people who saw it happening. Keepers at the park also helped to supplement the diet with milk, making sure that the young ones would do well.
