Karen Carpenter Song Sung By A 4-Month-Old Baby

I’m sure that all of us would agree that the world we live in can be difficult to navigate at times. It seems that we go from one problem to another and when we do get a break, it is often too little and short-lived. Perhaps that is why we sometimes seek out things that make us feel comfortable. It might be comfort food that we love or perhaps wrapping ourselves up in a warm blanket but at any rate, it is great when we can comfort ourselves in that way.

We might also experience moments in life that help us to smile as well. Those smiles come from the heart when we have those moments. You might feel that way when you see a baby smile because it is the most innocent and loving expression. We might wish that we could carry those things with us at all times and that is why pictures and videos of those moments are so popular. You can see one for yourself in this video when a family friend started singing to a 4-month-old baby. The child’s reaction will melt your heart.

Adler is the baby in the video that is making hearts melt. He is listening to the woman singing ‘I Need to be in Love’ by the Carpenters, and he can’t help but react. The friend’s name is Annie and she has a great voice.

A man named John was also in the kitchen and he grabbed his camera to capture the moment.

Adler has the most precious smile that could melt ice off even the coldest heart. The song may be an oldie, but it is a good one in Adler’s eyes.

He seemed to be quite taken by Annie and her singing.

The hardest thing I’ve ever done
Is keep believing
There’s someone in this crazy world for me…

Adler seems to love the music so much that he wants to join in and sing with Annie. He moves his mouth and makes some adorable little noises.

It isn’t only Adler that loves the song. It seems as if Karen Carpenter would also have loved it. The Song Facts website says:

According to Carpenters – The Untold Story by Ray Coleman, “I Need To Be In Love” was Karen Carpenter’s very favorite song.

Everyone was taken by the little baby and his reaction. When John uploaded the video to YouTube, he left the description:

Doug came by to teach me some chords for a song–Annie had started singing the Karen Carpenter song, “I Know I Need To Be In Love.” 4-month old Alder then tried to sing, too. (Its a friend of ours child, she brought him by ) So I grabbed a nearby camera. Thanks to Lisa for bringing him over. What a cutie – John

The video has been watched millions of times with thousands of people leaving comments. One person commented:
