Jack Osbourne Welcomes Daughter And Honors Ozzy In The Most Touching Way

Jack Osbourne and his wife Aree have welcomed a baby girl into their family. The reality television star shared the news online on Wednesday, posting a short black and white clip of the newborn along with a plaque showing her birth details and the name they chose.

The couple revealed they named their daughter Ozzy Matilda Osbourne, a clear nod to Jack’s late father. Ozzy Osbourne, the Black Sabbath frontman, died last July at age seventy six after health issues that included cardiac arrest, coronary artery disease, acute myocardial infarction, and Parkinson’s disease.

In the video Jack posted, the baby lay beside a small plaque listing her full name, the time she arrived, and other birth details. A small bat teddy could also be seen placed nearby, another quiet reference to Ozzy, who had long been linked to that symbol.

The plaque showed that baby Ozzy Matilda was born on March five at 8:49 in the morning. Jack later shared an update on his Instagram Story, writing, “She’s arrived and she’s perfect,” while friends and fans quickly filled the comment section with congratulations.

Aree also shared the moment on her own social media, posting a photo while holding the newborn. She wrote, “Our Ozzy Matilda Osbourne has landed earthside”, and later shared another story showing the two of them together wearing matching pajamas.

People online quickly reacted to the name choice, many saying the tribute to Ozzy Osbourne felt deeply emotional. One person wrote, “Congratulations to you both; she has the most perfect name,” while others shared similar messages celebrating the family and welcoming the baby.

Jack and Aree are already parents to another daughter together, Maple Artemis Osbourne, who was born in July twenty twenty two. Jack is also father to three daughters from his previous marriage to Lisa Stelly, including Pearl Clementine, Andy Rose, and Minnie Theodora.

The couple had first revealed the pregnancy publicly in early December, when Aree was already twenty eight weeks along. Because of that timing, Jack had the chance to share the news with his father before Ozzy passed away later that year.

Speaking in an interview at the time, Jack explained how the pregnancy had affected the family while they were grieving. He said, “I think it’s been partly a healthy distraction, partly healing – probably in that kind of ‘full cycle’ category, in a weird way.”

He continued explaining that the upcoming birth had shifted some of the focus away from grief. Jack said, “It’s very much taken energy out of the grieving side of things and parked in a bit more hopefulness.”

The couple were also surprised by how quickly the pregnancy happened after they decided they wanted another child. Jack explained the timing by saying, “It’s definitely something that we were wanting to pursue, and somehow it happened, miraculously,” during the same interview.
