And to make matters worse, so far, the public has received mixed information about the illness.

There are some who say it’s just a really bad flu, while others claim it’s much deadlier. In any event, this illness has changed our society in some big ways, with major sporting events such as the NBA playoffs and March Madness canceling games. In this video, we see Fallon addressing the home audience, informing them that they planned to film the show with a live audience as of that morning. But, as the day progressed, they thought more about it and decided it would be best not to proceed as planned. He told everyone it was NBC’s decision to forgo the inclusion of a studio audience for the time being to do there part in helping decrease the spread of the coronavirus. Fallon also confesses that he’s just as freaked out over all of the conflicting information as everyone else. The host then says that “when we’re there for each other, we’re at our best. And I am here for you; we are here for you.” He then goes on to thank his staff, some of whom worked from home to make sure that they could still get the program on the air. His monologue then continues with his usual humor, with most of the laughs coming from the crew and The Roots band.
