Celebrities are often in the public eye and they are seen by many people, often because the paparazzi are relentless in trying to take their picture. At other times, it seems as if celebrities are doing everything they can to grab that attention.
Attention seems to be exactly what Katy Perry was after when some pictures were posted on Instagram. They were bikini pictures taken of her as she was standing on her balcony, and it received mixed reactions from her fans.
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Katy Perry showed up in an outfit that grabbed some public attention. More recently, she posed in an outfit that showed a little more of her back than it should.
In this particular case, however, three photos and a video were shared on Instagram of her wearing a skimpy red bikini and a visor. She seemed to be enjoying standing in the sunlight and drinking a can of nonalcoholic beverage that she cofounded with Morgan McLachlan recently.
Obviously, she was grabbing the attention to shine the spotlight on the beverage and not necessarily on her body. She managed to do both at the same time, however, which is where some of the criticism comes in.
In some of the clip, she is walking up the stairs holding the beverage and wearing a see-through dress. In other parts of the video, she is running her fingers through her hair.
Obviously, there were no captions needed to describe what she was doing that day. She just used a heart emoji to describe her mood.
Most of the people who saw the image were not very impressed. Some of them were just wondering what it was and others said it was unethical. Some even felt that she was not dressing appropriately for her age.
On the other hand, there were some of her fans who got behind her with a lot of support.
You are always going to have both sides of the issue showing up when you step out of the lines in this way. Undoubtedly, this will not be the last time she shakes things up.
