Woman Doesn’t Wait To Die Before Hosting Her Own Funeral

One of the most difficult things we will ever have to deal with in life is the loss of a loved one. As family and friends gather together for the funeral, it’s their way of saying goodbye and giving each other support.

Each funeral is different, with some being very sad and others being more upbeat. They take place in different locations with different people officiating and with a variety of people visiting to pay their final regards.

Every once in a while, we may hear of a funeral that is unique. That is certainly what we have in this funeral in Singapore because the person who was being honored at the funeral has not yet died.

Michelle “Mike” Ng is there to invite everyone into her home and to greet them as they visit. She remained in high spirits throughout the event, but it wasn’t something that was completely happy.

She had been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer at the age of 27 and before the year was over, it was found that the cancer had spread throughout her body. It was now a terminal situation and she wanted to say her final goodbyes.

That is when the 27-year-old woman got the idea to invite everyone over to her home for a living funeral. It may seem like a strange concept to some people, but to others, it is a beautiful idea. It’s the last opportunity for many people to say goodbye to the one that they love.

Many of her closest friends and family members attended the family. Some of them she had seen in a long time and they came from far away in order to say goodbye. It was something that was well needed by everyone and they appreciated the opportunity to see her face-to-face.

In addition, the woman had an opportunity to share in something that gave her some closure as well. It is an event that teaches us all a lesson because funerals should be about the living.
