They Sent In An Autistic Student During The Last Game Of The Season But Nobody Was Expecting His Reaction

Life can be difficult when you are a special needs person. That includes anybody with a special need, and it is especially true when you are in high school. One particular student, named Jason McElwain, was autistic but he did what he could in order to fit in in school and to live a life that was enjoyed by both him and his peers. That was especially seen due to the love that he had for basketball. He had sat on the bench for years, patiently waiting for his moment in the sun. It seems as if that moment was going to come his way at an unexpected time.

After being a basketball assistant for the high school team for years, he was sent in with only a few minutes left to go in the last game of the season. This was a decision that undoubtedly surprised many people, and it especially surprised Jason. Everybody cheered when he jumped up off the bench and headed out on the court in order to take a few shots. Unfortunately, his first two shots fell short of the mark and they really weren’t very close. It was what happened next, however, that caused the crowd to go into a frenzy.

Jason started shooting one basket after another. All in all, he shot six three-point shots and sunk them like he was a professional basketball player. As he said, he was on fire, and it really shows in the video.

This is one of those videos that really brings you to tears. It’s a beautiful moment that you get to share, and you can share it as many times as you like.
