Pink Brings The House Down When She Sings ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ by the Legendary Freddie Mercury

The super-talented songstress Pink is one talented lady. As an actress, singer, songwriter, dancer, model, and even a record producer, Pink can do it all. She first started singing when she was just 14 years old in Philly’s nightclubs. She got her nickname from a character in a Quentin Tarantino film, “Reservoir Dogs,” and admits that in her storied life, she went through several “extreme phrases” where she did it all and “all at the same time.” With three Grammys to her name, Pink’s performances have become the stuff of legends because of their athletic and theatrical stunts.

With credentials and accomplishments like this, not to mention a fearlessness that you don’t see in just every entertainer, it’s no surprise that Pink would tackle one of the most challenging rock songs ever written: “Bohemian Rhapsody” by Queen. Written in 1975, “Bohemian Rhapsody” was written by Queen lead singer and frontman Freddie Mercury over the course of several years. When he finally pulled it all together, he had it all written out on slips of paper and post-it notes, according to Queen’s guitarist Brian May. A lot of people try to sing “Bohemian Rhapsody,” with varying degrees of success. However, no one would ever say it’s easy to sing.

During a performance in Sydney, Australia, for her Funhouse Tour, Pink decided to channel the late great Freddie Mercury with a performance of Bohemian Rhapsody. When the chords and harmony start, the crowd goes wild, knowing they’re going to get something truly special. But Pink doesn’t just sing. She has channeled Freddie’s best looks, too. Pink appears in a gorgeous outfit that embodies some of Freddie Mercury’s most iconic outfits, including his yellow jacket, hat, and black and white leotard. Of course, when she starts singing, excellence happens as she hits all of the right notes. When she gets into the opera ballad part of the song, she and her team totally nail it. It’s when the rock portion starts that Pink and her band are in their element, and they totally pull it off and rock it.
