Most kids start going a bit stir-crazy during long car trips consisting of only a few hours, so it’s not hard to imagine how millions of kids around the world are bouncing off the walls right at home right about now. And while many children are splurging on modern forms of entertainment such as video games, there are still plenty of families who have decided to get back to basics by getting their kiddos involved in timeless family activities such as solving puzzles, creating art, and making furniture forts! And our friends at IKEA Russia has come out with a new campaign that will allow parents to recreate some of those memorable experiences with their kids.
The campaign was created by an agency called Instinct, and it consists of a set of instructions that allows you to configure castles, tents, forts, as well as other neat structures to help you and your kiddos ride out this pandemic in style. Now those familiar with putting together IKEA furniture may have a different opinion about their legendary “easy-to-follow” instructions. However, they do show how you can transform everyday household items (which in their illustrations all happen to be IKEA products) such as bedspreads, blankets, stools, and chairs into a wonderful hideaway.
Here are the other five designs.

For example, to build a Höuse, you just need two blankets, a table, eight books, and ten laundry pins. And the best thing about it is that you really don’t need to use IKEA furniture. You can replicate the effect with any similarity designed furniture.
Here are a couple of examples of unique designs folks have already made based on these blueprints.

This is a wonderful way for families to bond together during these uncertain times while recapturing a bit of our childhood in the process.
