6 Exercises That Will Work Wonders For Knee, Foot And Hip Pain

A problem that all of us have to face at some time in life is pain. There are a lot of benefits to experiencing pain, as it warns us of problems that we may be experiencing so adjustments can be made. The problem is, the pain doesn’t always come and go and for some people, it can be a chronic difficulty.

In the United States, one out of four people is dealing with knee pain and it is one of the most common reasons why people experience chronic pain problems. Millions of people have the issue that can be due to fatigue, wear and tear or injuries. If you are dealing with knee pain, you need to include some physical activity but it is also important to be active for a wide variety of reasons.

The problem is, when somebody has sore joints, it can be difficult to get up and move around. Although it is going to be more painful when you first get started, it may eventually provide some of the pain relief you so desperately need. You may even be able to get off some of the anti-inflammatory drugs and painkillers that you might be taking.

If you have this type of pain, you can treat it in the following exercise regime:

1. Toe walking

This is great for the bottom of your feet and your calves. Just walk around on your toes for 15 minutes.

2. Heel raises

Put one of your legs on a chair and bend at the knee. Elevate the heel of your opposing leg for 15 reps.

3. Toe games

Rather than trying to pick something off of the floor with your hands, try to grab it with your foot.

4. Walk on balls

Put a tennis ball under your foot while seated in the chair. Roll the ball around under your foot for 10 minutes and enjoy the massage.

5. Resistance bands

This one will strengthen the calves and outer thigh muscles. Put a resistance band around the chair and put one leg under the other while bending the knee.

With the toes of your upper leg, reach for the band and bend it backwards to the head. Bring your body back to the original position for 15 repetitions.

6. Ankle circles

Rotate your feet 10 times in one direction and then the other. Repeat several times.

You might also want to try some acupuncture or foot massage because it can help with your issues as well. When you relax your feet, the relief may come instantly.

Knee pain is a problem that can be debilitating. It may even cause you to have to stay in bed for days or longer.

It is commonly caused by injury, arthritis, infection, inflammation, and gout. Most people take painkillers to help get some relief but those drugs are only a temporary solution.

Rather than pumping yourself full of dangerous chemicals, make healthy changes to your daily routine and be more active. You can also change your diet to include anti-inflammatory foods.
