The human brain is an absolutely amazing marvel and most scientists will readily admit that it does not have an equal in the known universe. After all, it is not just a little computer that we all carry around with us, it is actually so much more than a computer. In fact, if we had a computer that was anywhere close to the human brain, we probably wouldn’t be able to control it and before long, we would end up with an end of the world scenario. That being said, technology isn’t anywhere close to achieving that goal but the human brain had achieved it thousands of years ago.
Something interesting about the human brain is how quickly it can process information. Most of us don’t really think about the fact that it is not an infinite amount of information but there are limitations. That is true in many cases when it comes to our eyesight. The information that we take in through the sense of sight is filtered by the brain, processed and then handled in one way or another. If we send our brain too much information or if we send it something that it doesn’t quite recognize, the processing time may not be able to keep up with the information we are sending it. That is when we get some rather interesting optical illusions. It also keeps us from recognizing something that is right in front of our face.
How detail-oriented are you? If you feel as if you are able to see everything and identify it quickly, you might be surprised to learn that is not the case. Take a look down through the following pictures and see if you can identify the hidden elements. Be careful, it’s not as easy as you think!
