Viral Subway Singer, Charlotte Awbery Impresses The Audience On Ellen With ‘Shallow’

You never quite know when you’re going to have your five minutes of fame. For some people, it could be a relatively small thing, such as competing in a talent show in school. They may become famous to a certain extent for a short amount of time but it is not going to go nationwide or reach the entire world. Every once in a while, however, you hear about somebody who has more than five minutes of fame, they go viral because of a single event. That is what happened to a woman named Charlotte Awbery and I’m sure her life is never going to be the same again.

This woman was on the London underground and was asked to sing the lyrics to a song, Shallow, that was performed by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Ever since she sang that song, she has been a viral sensation and I’m sure that she loves the fact that she was able to be recognized for what she did that day. The British singer was even able to take things a step further when she was asked to appear on the Ellen show. That daily talkshow is often the stepping stone for viral artists who capture the attention of a worldwide audience. After appearing on Ellen, things go to the next level.

Charlotte was somewhat known before she went viral. She had 4000 followers but once the clip hit the Internet, she went to over half a million followers! There are even some impressive names in the list, so I’m sure she is feeling pretty good about herself.

There were some people who said that the event was staged but she has dispelled those accusations. In her words, she was ‘literally on her way to meet a friend’. That single event, however, has turned her life around and she is having a great time. Watch more in the following video:
