The Rolling Stones Perform ‘Satisfaction’ In Vintage 1981 Hampton Live Concert

There are many musical groups that have reached a level of superstardom that other groups try a lifetime to achieve. It may even seem as if they are there against all odds, and that was the case with the Rolling Stones. The music that they play was adored by millions of fans who just couldn’t seem to get enough of them. Most people had to listen to them on the radio but on occasion, they may have had the opportunity to see them in concert. When they did, they were always in for a surprise.

Of course, you would have to go back quite a few years in order to see the Rolling Stones in concert when they were at the height of their musical career. That is where this video comes in. It is from 1981 and it shows Mick Jagger, Keith Richard and the rest of the Rolling Stones playing (I can’t get no) Satisfaction. It was the final song that they played that evening and they released hundreds of balloons that spread out through the audience. It must’ve been quite an experience, but there was also something else interesting that took place while the music was playing.

If you watch carefully, you can see a man running across the stage from the right hand side and turning around, heading back across the stage toward Mick Jagger. As it turns out, it was one of the fans from the audience who rushed the stage and was able to get by security. The funny thing is, Keith Richards saw it happening and he decided to take off his guitar and swing it at the man.

Richards struck the man in the shoulder and then security escorted him offstage. He then put his guitar back on and continued to play, just as if nothing had happened in the first place. In a later interview, he even admitted that the guitar stayed perfectly in tune, so he was able to finish out the song without any problem.
