People Are Bashing Mayim Bialik After Her Run On Jeopardy

Many Jeopardy fans mourned the death of Alex Trebek when he passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2020. The show had been running for so many years with Trebek at the lead that they wondered if anybody could possibly take his place.

There were a number of people who stepped forward and gave it their best shot, but Mayim Bialik, from The Big Bang Theory, was able to share the job with a 2004 Jeopardy winner, Ken Jennings.

They hosted the 38th season of the game show but considering the fact that they were coming on right after Trebek passed away, it really left them open to criticism.

Bialik spoke with Justin Long, her fellow actor on a podcast, ‘Mayim Bialik’s Breakdown.’ She said: “Sometimes I get, ‘We don’t prefer you to Ken.”

“Isn’t that wild? Well, it’s probably the only profession that I can think of, or maybe politicians, where people will tell you deeply insulting things but with a big smile.”

Many people also had negative comments about the type of clothes she wore on the show, saying she wore the same blazer on multiple episodes.

She said: “Most men wear suits when they go there, so yeah. The fact is we don’t live in a culture where I can wear a gray suit and then a blue suit, but maybe next year we’ll see. I don’t think anyone should think about it so much, especially me.”

“I’m one of these people who think red carpets should have a standard set of dresses for women so we don’t have so many,” she said. “You can do long sleeve or short sleeve — that’s it and everybody goes home.”
