Legendary Actor of “Baretta” Passes Away at 89

There are some actors that we may not have seen for a while but they still make quite an impression, and that is sometimes seen when they pass away. Such was the case with Robert Blake, an actor who is best known for his role in Baretta.

Blake played Tony Baretta in that role but he also was on other shows, including Lost Highway, Electra Glide in Blue, and In Cold Blood. He also had some cameo appearances in other shows.

Unfortunately, Robert Blake has passed away and that was confirmed by his daughter, Noreen Austin. At the time of his death, he was surrounded by his family in his Los Angeles home. He died of heart disease at 89 years old.

Blake got his start in Hollywood playing on the show, Our Gang. He also sold Humphrey Bogart a ticket in the movie, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre.

His career continued to go from one show to another, and he also went through two marriages. He was married to Sondra Kerr in 1961, and they had two children together, Noah and Delinah. They were divorced in 1983.

He ended up meeting Bonny Lee Bakely in 1999 and they also had a girl together, named Rosie. It was controversial, but a DNA test proved that Blake was the father.

He ended up marrying her but they weren’t married for very long. Bakely was fatally shot at a restaurant in Studio City in 2001. Blake was accused of murder, but he claimed his innocence, and although he was arrested, he was acquitted.
