There are many ways that we could spend an enjoyable afternoon but for some people, there is nothing quite like going to the theater. It doesn’t matter if they have been anticipating seeing a new movie for quite some time or if they’re just going to watch something they’ve seen a few times before, it’s lots of fun and a great way to forget about life for a while. At times, it can be enjoyable to watch something new but it’s also great to watch one of the old classics. You get to see a clip from one of those classics in the video below.

I would venture to say that almost everyone has seen The Sound of Music at least once in their lifetime. It’s something that we grew up watching and we introduce it to our children when they are old enough to appreciate it. Although the movie first came out in 1965, it is still played on TV on occasion and the music from the movie is also quite memorable. In fact, one of those songs, ‘Do Re Mi’ is something that most people can sing by heart from the time that they are young children.

In the video below, you have an opportunity to go back in time to watch Julie Andrews playing the guitar and singing Do Re Mi with the young children in the movie. It’s amazing to hear a song that we know so well and realize that it was the original performance of it.

It isn’t only the music that is so captivating about this video, it’s the scenery as well. The movie was shot in Austria and the beauty of the scenery is absolutely breathtaking. As you watch the combination of great music and great scenery along with seeing some of the best actors of all time on the screen at the same time, it may just make you want to watch the movie again.
