What it comes to iconic movies, I’m sure that we could name a few. In many cases, it isn’t only the story line in the movie that makes it so popular, it’s also the actors that do so. They may have played in a number of other movies and are so popular that anything they do is almost certain to be a hit. That is probably how you feel when you think about Tom Hanks. Although he played in many different movies and on television, there are certain roles that are even more iconic than others.
One of the scenes that you may enjoy watching is from the movie, Big. The entire movie was incredible because it showed Tom Hanks, was actually a child that was put into a man’s body. It has been the subject of many movies over the years but when Tom Hanks did it, it just seemed to go to the next level. There was also a scene out of the movie that is always going to be loved by the masses. It is one Hanks and Robert Loggia are at a toy store and they play on a giant floor piano together.
The scene was re-created by someone who is nicknamed Mr. Piano. His actual name is Alexander Dennis Volk and he was on hand at the Top Shopping Mall in Bremen, Germany to recreate the scene. He and a partner stood with a giant floor piano and the fun began.
Mr. Piano is actually a pianist, and some have described him as being:
“Mister Piano, real name Dennis Volk, has changed from a class clown to a creative exceptional entertainer on the piano. At the beginning of his career, he mainly played accompanying music for events – always with his own piano – so his tendency towards creativity, extravagance and visionary thinking soon became apparent. The shows and ideas that he has developed from this have brought him to various TV programs and are popular with organizers all over Europe.”
He continues to be creative, dancing and walking on the piano for anyone who will watch. People love watching it as well as he jumps up and down on the keys. He begins by himself but before long, the partner jumps in.
Before long, the piano partner is playing along with Volk and they are enjoying performing Heart and Soul perfectly. They are barefoot, making the appearance of playing the song even more interesting.
They are also dressed in black and white so they look as if they are matching the piano keys. Before long, the crowd is clapping to the song beat as he and his partner continue to play.
