Diet and weight loss are of interest to many people, which is why shows that revolve around the subject are typically popular. This includes one that takes things to the extreme, 1000-lb Sisters.
That TLC show followed Amy and Tammy Slaton, and their extra-large life. Things have changed in recent years for those two sisters, including Amy, who had weight loss surgery in 2019.
Tammy also had weight loss surgery in 2022 and it seems as if it is helping. After spending time in a food rehabilitation facility, she has dropped 183 pounds and hit her goal weight of 534 pounds.
Tammy posted pictures of the change on Instagram, proud of dropping from 717 pounds and overshooting her goal weight by 14 pounds.
She said: “From over 700, that’s a huge drop. I’m feeling thrilled, proud, excited – just all the emotions. I proved everybody wrong. Everybody that doubted me, I finally got mine! My told-you-so moment.”

She also showed off her accomplishment on TikTok. What may seem like normal, everyday actions for us are something new for her.
For example, you can see Tammy dancing in the front seat of her car. Prior to this, she wouldn’t fit in the front seat.
In addition, she no longer has to use a wheelchair to get around. She can actually stand and walk on her own.
Prior to losing the weight, she had to use a wheelchair and a walker. She also had an oxygen tank that she would drag around with her everywhere. She recently posted pictures on Instagram with her sister as they shared a girl’s night out on the town.
“Had a blast last night . totally embarrassed myself but it was fun. Now to go pick up my boys.. can’t wait to see my new friends again we love y’all!!!”
Many people came on to congratulate her for the achievement. It truly is life-altering for this star and we hope she is able to achieve even more.
