If you’ve never had the opportunity to go to a football game, it really is worth trying. Whether you are a big fan of the NFL or not, there is a lot of energy in the stands that is difficult to deny.
On occasion, people tend to get out of hand at an NFL game. They end up having so much fun that they can be a burden to others, especially when they have too much to drink.
Nobody knows this better than Mia DeCamilla. The little girl was at a football game with her parents, the Bills Vs San Francisco 49ers.
Mia is a survivor of embryonal sarcoma, a form of cancer. She was celebrating the day, holding up a sign that said: “I BEAT CANCER! MY FIRST NFL GAME!” Unfortunately, a group of drunken Bills fans would accidentally push her down the stairs.
Her mother, Mikey, wrote on Facebook: “Sadly we left earlier than planned. Yes, the Niners are losing, but unfortunately we had to deal with the police because a drunk Bills fan decides it was cool to pass my husband and I and pushed our eight year old daughter Warrior Mia DeCamilla (down the stairs, in section 312!).
“If you are this type of Bills Mafia fan please unfollow our family now.!!!!! Also, I hope the a**hole who thought it was cool to push a kid that stood in the cold with her cancer free sign was so worth your win!”
It wasn’t long before the post was going viral. This is easy to understand because the situation was heartbreaking.
Mia’s prior GoFundMe which was set up by her family to raise money while she was battling cancer also resurfaced. It was started in 2022, but it gained momentum once again. It has raised more than $38,000.
It reads: “Mid January 2022, Mia was diagnosed with Childhood undifferentiated embryonal sarcoma of the liver. Mia completed 4 months of presurgery chemo. On May 23rd, 2022 Mia had a 12 hour long surgery to resect her liver. Mia then followed surgery with 8 weeks of chemo to finally reach remission on July 25th…
“To ease the family of financial stress and make each day a bit easier to pay for food in hospital, fuel, bills, mortgage, I am asking for any donations that are all so very appreciated.
“We all love you Warrior Mia DeCamilla. 💪🏼🥲 Keep shining bright baby one. #childhoodcancerawareness”
We are sorry for the little girl and the difficulties that she faced. We hope that the entire family is able to face things head on after this stressful moment.
