Wrong Guy Goes Viral After Concert Scandal

A man named Andy Byron had to clear things up this week after a case of mistaken identity sent strangers his way. The problem started when another Andy Byron went viral at a Coldplay concert.

The Andy in question is the CEO of a company called Astronomer. He showed up on the jumbotron at a Coldplay show in Foxborough while standing behind an employee, Kristin Cabot, who is the company’s Chief People Officer.

He had his arms around her and she was leaning back into him. Then suddenly she covered her face and he dropped out of frame, literally crouched down and vanished, just as Chris Martin pointed them out to the crowd.

People started searching the name Andy Byron and accidentally landed on the wrong guy. That guy, also named Andy Byron, runs a motion graphics business.

He said: “No, this isn’t me.” He also made it very clear that even if it was, it wouldn’t be, because he said he “wouldn’t be caught dead at a Coldplay concert.”

So to help people get it right, he posted on LinkedIn. He said: “I’m the Andy Byron who makes videos for big screens, not the one who gets caught on them. If you want to make video content that goes viral for the right reasons, let’s connect. check Stylo Motion Design.”

He even updated his LinkedIn bio to say: “NOT THE GUY FROM THE COLDPLAY GIG!!Owner/Creative Director at Stylo Motion Design.”

People online liked the way he handled it. One person wrote: “This is so good.”

Andy responded to all the attention with a comment that read: “My wife is going to be so happy when I tell her that I won LinkedIn for a day.”
