This has always been the case but in the world of the Internet, they come and go so quickly that sometimes, we don’t even have the opportunity to fully take advantage of them. We might try our best and perhaps we might even order a piece of clothing or go shopping but by the time we have the opportunity to wear it, the trend may have already shifted. This is not only true in the way of fashion, it is also true in the way that we carry ourselves. That is where this story comes in.
Equality has often been a hotspot topic and for many women, trying to keep up with the Joneses as far as the way that society wants them to look and act has been difficult. Some women will even go to great lengths in order to reach the ideal as far as society is concerned, and that is the way that a woman from Copenhagen, Denmark lived life. Her name is Eldina Jaganjac and she is a tutor. For years, she would spend her time getting rid of body hair by every means possible, including shaving, waxing, and plucking. In 2020, however, she decided that she had enough and she opted for a change.
At 31 years of age, she had become annoyed at the standards that women were forced to follow. She also pointed out that men didn’t do much to keep themselves nice and tidy, so she decided to let her hair grow out. It happened at the beginning of the stay-at-home orders when she allowed her unibrow and her mustache to grow in. She found that it was not only less pain, it also did not change how she felt about her femininity.
These days, she is not only continuing her course of not shaving, she has become a public voice and a social media influencer that is helping other women to do the same.
