The death of anyone is a very difficult situation to handle but when it occurs with a young person unexpectedly, it is especially tragic. Unfortunately, the family and friends of one woman are dealing with this after a freak accident.
37-year-old Amanda Gallagher died after an accident that occurred at Cook Airfield in Derby, Kansas. People were boarding a plane and Gallagher was busy taking pictures but unfortunately, she backed into a moving propeller.
When the accident occurred on October 26, emergency services were immediately called. She had been critically injured and passed away after arriving at the hospital.
Abbey Charboneau, one of her friends described Amanda as ‘kind, adventurous, creative, and beautiful inside and out.’ Many friends and family have posted tributes and I’m sure that many others are paying their condolences behind the scenes.
Condolences were also given by Cook Airfield, where they asked for thoughts and prayers for the family and friends of Amanda. They didn’t go into any details on the situation associated with the accident.
There is an investigation occurring as a result of the accident and it is ongoing, but no official statement has come as of yet.
Amanda was passionate about photography and skydiving. She was well-known in the community and her loss will be felt by many. May she rest in peace.
