When it comes to talent, I think we have seen our fair share in recent years. It seems as if people were absolutely hooked on seeing the best of the best singing, dancing, telling jokes or displaying any other talent that they can possibly display. It has cropped up online in endless videos and there are a multitude of talent shows on TV from Dancing with the Stars to America’s Got Talent and even So You Think You Can Dance. This is from the Ukraine version of that show.
The woman began by singing and the judges were snapping their fingers along to the song. I don’t think that any of them were expecting the dance that they were about to see, although they had to know that there was going to be a dance involved. After all, it is a dance competition! After being a little bit confused, she suddenly turned around and it was like watching somebody change from one person to another. She did an unusual move with her legs to get things started and from that point forward, it was no holds barred.
It is unusual to see somebody dancing in such a style. We have become used to seeing everything from modern-day dances that come and go very quickly to the old classics that have been around for perhaps hundreds of years. This song style and dance were popular in the 1920s and you don’t see many people doing it any longer.
It’s interesting to see something that you don’t see often, especially when it is done so brilliantly. The judges were obviously feeling similar and I think all four of them were hanging on every single move that she made. All of the judges voted in her favor and she was able to make it onto the next round. I would say it was well deserved.
