Pres. Donald Trump has hit on a number of topics that are not necessarily the favored topic among his biggest critics. One of those is his plan to make Canada the 51st state of the United States.
We heard Donald Trump talking about this before, but now the White House Press Secretary is backing him up on his plan to add Canada as the next state in the American Union. Karoline Leavitt did so at a press briefing on Thursday.
When she was speaking, Leavitt mentioned that the president was very excited about the hockey game between America and Canada that took place on Thursday. It was the final game for the NHL First Four Nations Face-Off.
The president was excited to watch the game but he would not be attending in person. It seems as if there was a lot of excitement surrounding the game because ticket prices were much higher.
Leavitt wore her typical white outfit as she talked more about how the president had done much during the first month of his second term in office. There were a number of special guests attending the briefing, including national security advisor Mike Waltz and Deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller.
This is not the first time that we’ve heard about the possibility of making Canada the 51st state of the union. It is also something that is very controversial, and even Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau has spoken out about it in the past.
This is not something that is yet etched in stone but it is going to be an interesting thing to watch and see if it becomes a reality in the future.
