Melania Trump: The first lady and wife of President Donald Trump is known for her fashion. She wore a black coat dress by Valentino, which was both elegant and artistic. Most notable was the statement collar that was around the first lady, which included a 19 century sculpture, The Kiss. It is symbolic of love and eternity.
Jill Biden: The first lady married to former Pres. Joe Biden wore a black skirt suit by Schiaparelli. If it looked familiar, it is because she also wore it to the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II. The gold and white buttons added a touch of refinement to the traditional outfit.
Accessories included a simple necklace and pearl earrings along with black pumps. There was a balance between a traditional funeral suit and modern attire.
Hillary Clinton: Hillary served as both the Secretary of State and was the first lady, who attended the funeral with her husband, former Pres. Bill Clinton. She wore a black pantsuit that showed her typical no-nonsense style but it was appropriate for the occasion.
On the front of the suit was an eagle brooch and the US flag, showing both unity and patriotism. She also wore pearl earrings and a matching necklace.

Michelle Obama: It is rare for the former First Lady to miss such an occasion but she was not able to attend the funeral. As it turns out, she was in Hawaii on an extended holiday vacation and a scheduling conflict did not allow her to attend. A spokesman said that her ‘thoughts and prayers to the Carter family.’
