Now that she is in her mid-60s, Andie Macdowell is in no way shying away from the aging process. Rather than doing everything to stop it from happening, she is embracing it, including her beautiful silver-gray hair.

Many people may wonder why she decided to let her hair go gray, and she actually said it was because of one of her older sisters. She said that her sister’s ‘full-on silver’ actually made her jealous. She thought that her sister got so much more beautiful with that color of hair.

Being a spokesman for L’Oreal Paris, Macdowell had a lot to think about when it came to changing her looks. It all happened when the pandemic it and she said that during that time, ‘I could see the roots with my face and with my skin and my eyes, and I liked it. I felt that I would be happier. And I am happier. I really like it.’

She is not the only one who is happy with her looks. Fans have been more than happy with the way that she looks and for the choices she made to age naturally.

McDowell realizes that she doesn’t have to set the beauty standard or to conform to other’s standards of beauty. She knew that she was going to be older eventually, and she said: “I wanted to have this experience of feeling what it is.”

Not only is Macdowell experiencing this for herself, she wants her two daughters, Rainey Qualley, 32, and Margaret Qualley, 27 to have it as well. She said: “Aging is a really, really intimate educator on loving yourself because you can’t stop it. It’s going to happen.”
