You never quite know what is going to happen from one day to the next. Things may seem to be going along relatively smoothly and suddenly, you can be hit with the unexpected.
That is what happened to Ty Pennington, and he has had a very difficult week. He was on the red carpet at the Barbie movie premiere but within two days, he was flat on his back in the hospital.
Many people were concerned about what happened to him so he went on Instagram to explain what took place. It seems as if he had a sore throat that lasted about a month but he didn’t think much about it. Two days after the Barbie premier, however, he woke up in the middle of the night and couldn’t breathe.
He went to the hospital and found out that he had an abscess that was large enough that it was blocking his windpipe. An abscess can take place in any part of the body, and it is typically drained, but they often do it on their own. In Paddington’s case, however, medical intervention was necessary.
He said: “I was intubated and flown to the ICU in Denver. Wednesday I had surgery and yesterday afternoon I was released from the ICU.”
Pennington also showed some pictures of himself at the Barbie Premier and it seemed as if he was feeling better after getting some medical treatment. He also said how much he appreciated the medical staff and has a message for his fans to listen to what their body is telling them.
Many of his fans came online to wish him well and hope for a quick recovery. They were also concerned that he had a sore throat for a month and had ignored it.
We hope that he gets better and in the future, that he doesn’t ignore these types of issues.
