There have always been people who were sensitive and many times, you would have to tiptoe around them and be cautious about what you said. This is especially true these days, as social media has opened up entire worlds of those who are sensitive.
Nobody knows this better than a panelist on Good Morning Britain, Narinder Kaur. Recently, she made some comments about Kate Middleton, and people were not happy.
It happened on November 10 when an article was reposted by the Daily Mail about Kate Middleton being at the Remembrance Sunday Service. That is when Narinder Kaur said something about how Kate Middleton was aging.
It seems as if the tweet was deleted but there are still screenshots circulating online. It just proves that you can’t ever fully delete anything from the Internet.
Narinder seemed curious when she asked: “Genuine question- why has Kate aged so much? Isn’t she only 42? Is she a smoker? It’s the only explanation.”
The backlash that came from the online community was fast and harsh. One person called her heartless and vile while another said that it was the most ‘reprehensible attack on a woman battling cancer imaginable.’
After the online hate started, Narinder came back with some comments of her own.
Many people will back off when the online community starts coming after you but Narinder faced it head on and had some comments of her own.
For example, when one commenter said: “I hope you look better than that when you get cancer.” She came back by saying: “That’s disgusting. It was a genuine ask. My brother had cancer and died. He didn’t age. Why be so despicable?”
She also felt that she was attacked because of her skin color.
Although many disagreed, she stuck with her point and eventually, even posted a follow-up video:
