It’s hard to believe that another year has come and gone but this year was a special one in the United States. The 2024 presidential election certainly ruffled a lot of feathers, but something interesting has happened now that it is over.
With Donald Trump winning the 2024 presidential election, the Internet seems to be buzzing and they all seem to be saying the same thing. He won after securing Pennsylvania, which pushed him over the edge.
As he continued with his campaign event in West Palm Beach, people were cheering as he described the campaign. He was calling it the ‘greatest’ political movement and was thankful that his supporters reelected him as the 47th president.
Expressing and renewing his campaign promise to ‘make America great again’ he seemed to be ready to get started. He announced that they had taken back control of the Senate and said: “Wow, that’s good.”
The crowd at his Florida location chanted, USA, USA and he called the election a part of political history. He looked forward to what he referred to as the ‘Golden Age’ for the United States. He said: “This is a magnificent victory for the American people, that will allow us to make America great again.”
Trump won the election in 2016 but he lost to Biden in 2020. In his campaign, he said that he would be replacing federal workers with allies aligned with his MAGA movement. He also said that tariffs would be placed on foreign nations in a larger way.
He reflected on the defeat in 2020 and he had challenged the results of that election at the time. This led to the incursion on the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Now that he has won the election, the Internet seems to be saying the same thing. Many in the United States are obviously happy with the decision, but people in other countries don’t seem to be sharing their enthusiasm.
In fact, many other countries seem to be looking at the United States and questioning how they could have made the decision. There are even some who claim to be embarrassed by the results.
It doesn’t take much to find these types of opinions online. You will always find opinions of varying types, but it seems as if those will be outside are not as enthusiastic about his incoming as those on the inside.
It’ll be another four years, so will just have to see where things go from here.
