Tom Hanks’ Cliffside LA Home Narrowly Missed Burning When The Land Next Door Was In Flames

The wildfires in the LA area have taken thousands of structures, including many personal homes. Many celebrities have been affected, but some have managed to escape the disaster.

This includes Tom Hanks, who has a home in the Pacific Palisades. Despite the fact that the wildfire was only a few feet away from his home, it is still standing.

The home of Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson was spared through the fire, despite the fact that it ran through the high-end neighborhood in the Los Angeles area. Just above their $26 million mansion, another mansion burned down and was completely destroyed by flames.

Chet Hanks, the son of Tom and Rita spoke about the fire on Instagram. He said: “The neighborhood I grew up in is burning to the ground rn. Pray for the Palisades.”

Tom and Wilson purchased the property when their son was an adult. Prior to that, they owned a Spanish-style Villa in the Pacific Palisades. When they were newlyweds, they bought the property and then sold it in 2014 for $5 million.

The estate that was spared from the fire has four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Tom Hanks also owns an 1800 square foot house in Malibu, which he purchased in 1991. There is no word as of yet if that house was spared from the fire.
