We sometimes use phrases that are very descriptive and although they may not make sense, they really can describe what we are trying to say. One of those is in regard to how difficult it is to herd cats.
If you’ve ever found yourself using the phrase that it is difficult to herd cats, or that something is that difficult, then you’re going to appreciate what we have for you here. This phrase may not be used very often, but most people would understand what it means.
If you really stop and think about it, herding cats would be a difficult thing to do. Another phrase that would be similar is trying to put socks on a rooster, which would be next to impossible.
That doesn’t mean, however, that cats are difficult to train. In fact, if you use treats or other forms of encouragement, it might be possible to teach them to do almost everything. That doesn’t mean that you can teach them to do what is shown in the following video.
