There are two types of people in this world, those who love Michael Jackson and those who are not necessarily a big fan. It really doesn’t matter if you have followed his career from the beginning or not, you can’t deny that his music had an impact on pop-culture and even after his death, it continues to influence it in many ways. He brought something unique to the music scene, and there is no denying it.
You’ve probably heard about Elvis impersonator’s but did you realize that there are also Michael Jackson impersonators? Ricardo Walker is one of those individuals and he is a YouTuber with more than 300,000 subscribers. He will often post videos performing Michael Jackson music and it is difficult to tell the difference at times between his style of dance and Michael’s. When this Mashup video was posted, it went viral immediately and has millions of views. It is still going strong.
Another YouTuber created a video in 2006 called “The Evolution of Dance.” He performed many popular dance moves in the six-minute video and it also went mega-viral. In fact, that video is still the most watched video online.
Ricardo may have wanted to capture some of that viral magic as well, so he brought along three backup dancers and performed a medley of Michael Jackson’s greatest hits. You are going to hear all of the favorites and is difficult to sit still when you’re watching it.
Ricardo and his backup crew wear similar styles of clothing to what would have been worn when the music was at the top of the charts. For example, you will see white socks with short black pants and even a single, sparkling glove. Many of the hits are included in the video, including Beat it, Thriller and Don’t Stop till You Get Enough.
You will hear other hits as well, including Bad, Billie Jean and Smooth Criminal. That is only the tip of the iceberg.
The video is only five minutes long but the talent that is shown by this small crew is simply amazing. You will see everything from the moonwalk to the classic hip thrust and there is no denying that they are on their way up.
