Did you ever notice how trends seem to come and go very quickly? We often see it in the fashion industry but there are many other areas where trends tend to pop up as well. We sometimes see it happening in the cosmetic industry as well, and if you haven’t seen some of the amazing nail art that has gone around recently, you’ve missed out on a lot. It turns out that there is another trend in nail art that is circulating as well, and you have to see it to appreciate it.
What has been your favorite trend when it comes to nail art? Perhaps you have even tried one of them and continue to stick with it. Quite frankly, some of them are not only memorable, they are awesome! There is a new one that is circulating, however, and it is colored pencil nails. It’s a type of manicure that is not only interesting to see, it is fully functional as well.
Nail Sunny, a Russian nail art studio is responsible for this design.
When you look at their Instagram page, you can see that they are out on the edge when it comes to crazy nail art design. They use real bugs, create reptile nails and even use a braces design.
You’ll be interested to know that these Crayola-inspired nails are fully functional.
The nail design starts with a base of bright color. A tan polish is used on top to make it look like the wooden part of the pencil. They then cut down some actual colored pencils, took out the lead and glued them to the fingernail.
