There are many things that tend to get people riled up, and politics is certainly on that list. With the recent election in the United States, it seems as if everybody has an opinion and sometimes, those opinions can get heated.
This is especially true when something is discussed on the popular talk show, The View. They are known for having an opinion on almost any subject, but when the newly appointed ‘border czar’ from the Trump administration was the topic of conversation, it really got some attention.
It happened during a broadcast of “Hannity”, when President-elect Donald Trump’s newly appointed ‘border czar’, Tom Homan, was discussing some claims that came from The View.
According to what The View said, the Trump administration would soon be deporting American citizens under a mass deportation plan. In particular, Homan said that the Trump administration would secure the southern border, but that doesn’t mean that the host of The View understood what they were saying.
The hosts were making the claim that American citizens would be deported, but Homan said that they didn’t know what they were talking about.
In order to provide some background, Ana Navarro, one of the hosts of The View said: “You realize, I mean, it’s chilling what he just said. You realize when he says, ‘Yes, families can be deported together.’
What he is saying is, that U.S. Citizens can be deported. What he is saying is, if the parent is undocumented and they have U.S. Citizen children or U.S. Citizen spouses, and you don’t want to separate them, then let’s deport the U.S. Citizens.”
Understandably, that would make anybody upset but as Homan said, she didn’t know what she was talking about. We will have to wait and see how it plays out in real life.
