The Royal Kids Struggle With Screen-Time Like Every Other Family

The world has been following Prince William ever since he was a little boy. Now that he has grown up and has children of his own, people look at him in a different way and they expect him to be an example.

One of the things that many parents do is to threaten their children if they don’t behave themselves. The most common way for this to happen is for screen time to be taken away from the child. It happens in every family.

It seems as if the royal family is no different and they are fighting similar battles as well. This is seen recently as the Prince of Wales spoke to Erik Scott when he visited the British Academy of Film and Television Arts. He admitted that his children are ‘always wrestling over the remote.’

The Prince and Princess have three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis that range in age from six up to 11 at this time. They would seem to have different lives because they are the royal family but they are like many children, they enjoy playing on their electronic devices and watching TV.

William spoke to PEOPLE in 2022 and said that he and Kate tried to regulate their screen time. He also admitted that his children are ‘fascinated by it.’

Every family is going to have one child that enjoys electronics more than others and in the royal family, it is George.

The Mayo Clinic reports that too much screen time is not a good thing and limiting it until they are two years old allows them to use it in moderation more easily.

It says: “By age 2, children may benefit from some types of screen time, such as programming with music, movement, and stories. By watching together, you can help your child understand what he or he is seeing and apply it in real life. However, passive screen time shouldn’t replace reading, playing, or problem-solving.”

Nobody said that parenting was easy but it’s nice to know that the royal family has the same struggles as the rest of us.
