There are many hot-button issues and we may find ourselves in the middle of a very controversial conversation with others from time to time. Some of us will even avoid certain subjects, such as religion or politics because we realize they can lead to such controversy. One of the issues that many of us may tend to avoid has to do with raising children, and the sides seem to be split straight down the middle, with some saying it is okay to physically punish a child another people saying it is wrong.
A mother in Texas managed to find her way into the middle of this controversy by beating her son with a belt at the side of the road after he stole her BMW. Liza Campero, her daughter, took a video of the occurrence and posted it on Twitter for everyone to see. Before you pass judgment, you need to hear the entire story.
Campero’s brother, Aaron Martinez, was taking a break from school when he decided to get into some mischief. He disconnected the Wi-Fi at home so his mother couldn’t see the surveillance video and pick up on the fact that he just took off with her new BMW. The 14-year-old boy then went to get some friends and started cruising around El Paso, Texas.

The mother didn’t know what her son was doing until she received a call from one of the mothers of Aaron’s friends. She said that Aaron had driven to the home and picked him up.
Campero posted on Twitter that her mother had called her to see if the car was in the driveway. She confirmed that it wasn’t there, at which time her mother left work, picked up her daughter and told her to bring the belt.

Aaron wasn’t answering any phone calls from his family or his girlfriend but another mother of one of his friends was contacted.
The mother spotted the BMW and chased after the vehicle, blowing her horn and pulling up alongside her son screaming for him to ‘Pull over now!’

When she pulled her son over to the side of the road, Campero started recording a video. In the video, you can hear her asking for the belt prior to leaving the car and when she opened the door of the BMW, she started striking her son with it.
The young lad in the passenger seat said he was trying to get out of car because he was shocked at what was happening.
A local news station said that Aaron didn’t know that he had gone viral due to the videos. His mother took his PlayStation 4, his phone and all other electronic devices to further punish him for his behavior.
Many parents who live in Texas and throughout the Southwest understand the reaction of the mother. Other people say it is child abuse because she used the belt. Aaron, in the meantime, has gained a lot of popularity at school because of the incident. Some classmates are even calling him a modern-day Ferris Buehler.
