Target Employee Sees Toddler Throwing A Fit And Mom Captures Footage That Goes Viral

If you are a parent with a young child (or a child that was young at one time), you know the stress associated with a public tantrum. It is one of those situations that you have to experience to truly understand. The crying, the screaming and the throwing the body down on the floor. It is a moment frozen in time and everyone that is in the nearby area is watching you to see what you are going to do next.

Sometimes, you even get some ‘helpful’ comments from others, typically from those who have never tried to calm a kid in the middle of a tantrum. They will proclaim ‘That is why I’m never having kids’ and we just want to crawl in a hole. Of course, there are plenty of people who are empathetic of what the parents are going through, even if they don’t have kids of their own. Let’s face it, mom is tired and the kid isn’t helping any.

When this situation started to unfold in a Target store, an employee decided to step up to the plate and help out. The resulting picture is warming people’s hearts everywhere online.

When you are staring at a red-faced toddler throwing a tantrum on the floor in front of you it can be embarrassing. That is what a mom in Massachusetts, Brianna Lelos, was going through when she went to the local Target store in Wilmington.

Brianna’s little girl was not having a good time on the shopping trip. She pitched a fit and ended up on the floor. That is when Liliana, an employee of Target decided to step in and help. She sat by the toddler and stayed until she calmed down and went back to her mom.

Brianna decided to go on Twitter to post a picture and talk about her deed:

“To Liliana of the Wilmington, MA @Target store: Thankyou. I *think* every parents knows the feeling of their toddler/any age child having a tantrum in the middle of the store……”

She also thanked Target for having such great employees. The store wrote back and said they would happily send her feedback to the local store.

It isn’t always easy to do the right thing, especially when you are staring down a toddler on a mission. We are happy that Liliana stepped up to the plate and mom snapped the picture that let us know all about it. It shows us that staying calm when the situation is stressed can really help.

This is a sweet act that the mother will never forget.
