Over the years, the nation of Japan has introduced a lot of incredible inventions, such as the heated toilet seat.
But, it’s also given the world lots of yummy foods, such as instant ramen noodles and world-famous convenience food that’s helped millions of people survive.
Ramen noodles are easy to cook, cost-effective, and can be dressed up and flavored differently.
However, recently, some have found a new use for these ready-made cheap noodles, as many have begun taking baths in them!
Forget about those other nutty ramen trends like ramen burgers. Now you have folks jumping into a tub filled with slimy ramen noodles!
This bizarre trend first began popping up in Japan, and the reasons this trend continues to spread are unknown.
However, TIME magazine reports that the Yunessan Spa House, located in Hakone, Japan, was the first establishment to begin offering these types of baths. They consist of ramen pork broth with noodles.
According to the outlet, the spa’s owner, Ichiro Furuya, claims the bath actually delivers amazing benefits for a person’s skin.
“Lately people are very concerned about having beautiful skin, and they know the effect of collagen, which is contained in our pork-based broth. At this bath, everybody can have fun and take advantage of the healthy elements of ramen noodles.”
You can check out how it’s done in the video below.
