If you have ever done any serious traveling, you realize that getting there is not truly half the fun. In fact, you might even find that the trip is frustrating enough that it takes you awhile to calm down once you arrive at your destination. Sure, there is a lot of good to be said about flying from one place to another but if you’ve ever been cramped up on a plane, delayed or perhaps with a screaming baby behind you, you know that it takes all the fun out of the experience.
It is not only the average Joe who gets to travel in such a way, even celebrities are not immune to those problems. When they get on a plane, they may be sitting in the front in a better seat, but it doesn’t mean that they aren’t going to have problems with schedules and other difficulties. Every once in a while, however, you hear about a celebrity who steps up to the plate and truly does something awesome. That was the case with Steven Tyler, who heard some news on an airplane and decided that he would have a little fun.
More than likely, you know Steven Tyler from his stint as lead singer of Aerosmith. Over the years, he has performed some songs that we probably still have running around in our head somewhere. As it turns out, however, he is more than just a celebrity that occasionally makes the news. He actually does things on occasion that are newsworthy. After all, you would think that a rockstar is going to be loud and obnoxious, but he doesn’t fall into that stereotype.
When Steven Tyler was on a flight, he learned that the little girl sitting in the row behind him was celebrating her seventh birthday. Rather than ignoring that fact, he turned around and did something with her cell phone that turned out to be the best birthday present of all time.
