Snoop Dogg Responds After Daughter Shares Heartbreaking Loss

Snoop Dogg has shared a quiet sign of support after his daughter, Cori Broadus, revealed she had lost her 10-month-old daughter. Followers had noticed a change in her recent posts, with sadness and heartbreak coming through, even before she explained what had happened to those closest to her.

Over several days, Cori’s Instagram stories hinted that something deeply painful was unfolding. Fans and other public figures began leaving messages of concern and love, sensing that the shift in tone was tied to something personal. At the time, no details were given, only a clear sense of loss and grief.

On Saturday, January 31, Cori confirmed the news on Instagram. She shared that her daughter, Codi Dreaux, had died at just 10 months old. In a short message, she wrote, “Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi,” letting followers know the moment her world changed.

Codi had faced serious medical struggles from birth. She was born three months premature in February 2025 and spent much of her life in the hospital. Most of her early months were spent in neonatal intensive care, where she underwent ongoing treatment and close monitoring.

Earlier this year, Cori had shared what felt like a turning point. She announced that Codi had finally been discharged from the hospital and was able to come home. At the time, she wrote, “She’s home. Thank you for every prayer, every message, every ounce of love. God heard them all.”

That moment of relief was short lived. Just weeks after returning home, Codi passed away, leaving her family devastated. The sudden loss came after months of hope and struggle, making the news even harder for those who had followed her fragile journey since birth.

After Cori’s announcement, Snoop Dogg responded in a quiet but meaningful way. He did not release a written statement or speak publicly. Instead, he shared a family photo on Instagram that included Cori, adding only a sparkling red heart and prayer hands emojis.

The post quickly drew massive attention. Hundreds of thousands of likes appeared within hours, along with thousands of comments from fans. Many filled the space with prayer emojis, condolences, and messages of sympathy, offering support to the family during an incredibly painful time.

Several fans expressed their feelings directly in the comments. One wrote, “Sending love and positive energy to the whole family.” Another added, “Praying for yall my heart goes out.” The responses reflected a shared sense of sorrow and care from people around the world.

Actress and comedian Luenell Campbell also left a message under the post. She wrote, “The Prayers from ALL of us for this Family and the Father’s family as Well are Sincere and Heartfelt.” Her words echoed the tone of many others offering comfort.

Cori later reshared her earlier post about bringing Codi home from the hospital. Over it, she added a raw reaction that read, “20 days later?! dawg im sick.” The message captured the shock and disbelief she was still processing after the loss.

Codi’s father, Wayne Duece, who is Cori’s fiancĂ©, also shared his grief publicly. In a tribute on Instagram, he wrote, “I’ve been the saddest since u left me, Codi Dreaux. But I know u at peace. Daddy will always love you. My baby.”

Cori also shared a message written by Codi’s nurse, who had cared for her near the end of her life. The nurse wrote, “I been sad for 6 days straight. Being a nurse has its ups and downs and this is the biggest down I ever experienced.”

The nurse continued reflecting on her final moments with Codi. She wrote, “It was such a pleasure being mybabygirls nurse. I gave her one last bath told her I loved her and didn’t even know I was getting her ready for Heaven.” The words added another layer of heartbreak to the story.
