Sleepover Prank Gone Horribly Wrong After Kids Dump ‘Scalding Water On Friend’

One of the rites of passage for many children is the sleepover. It is a lot of fun and sometimes, some mischief may occur.

Unfortunately, one group of boys took things too far and their friend is now severely injured. It occurred as a result of a sleepover prank that went horribly wrong.

The 12-year-old boy, who is anonymous, ended up in the hospital with serious burns. Three of the other boys at the sleepover poured scalding hot water on his face while he was sleeping.

The boys, who are between the ages of 12 and 15 are claiming that it was a prank, but it didn’t go as planned. Now that it happened, however, they are facing charges and their friend is now waiting for surgery.

The young boy’s mother, Tiffany, has been vocal about her concerns and how her son is feeling. She said that her son is in shock and has second degree burns.

She said: “I mean, I really can’t describe it now. In that moment I was just mad, hurt, in shock. Everything, I was seeing red. I was just trying to hurry up and get him some help.

“He was transported to the burn center in Augusta. He had to have surgery. Of course, he is out of surgery and is recovering at home, now. But it is going to take him 12-14 days to heal.”

The burn center where he will be visiting is about 200 miles from the family’s home. Due to that extensive travel, the boy’s parents have not been able to work.

His aunt also spoke up, saying that he is ‘gonna have to get counseling to be able to trust people again’

According to reports, the three boys were taken into custody and released later. They are awaiting a hearing, which should take place sometime next month.
