The woman who filmed that viral Coldplay clip has broken her silence. She was just a fan at the concert and had no idea what she was about to catch on camera.
The now-famous video shows a man identified online as Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, standing with his employee Kristin Cabot at the show. It was recorded at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts during Coldplay’s set on July 16.

In the clip, Byron appears to be holding Cabot from behind while she leans into him. Then she covers her face and he suddenly drops down out of sight just as Chris Martin notices them on the big screen.
Martin seemed confused and said: “Oh, what? Either they’re having an affair or they’re just really shy.”
The moment exploded online and people quickly started digging. That’s when the woman who filmed it, Grace Springer, came forward.
She said: “I had no idea who the couple was. Just thought I caught an interesting reaction to the kiss cam and decided to post it. A part of me feels bad for turning these people’s lives upside down, but, play stupid games… win stupid prizes. I hope their partners can heal from this and get a second chance at the happiness they deserve with their future still in front of them. I hope, for them, my video was a blessing in disguise.”
The video ended up getting millions of views across TikTok and other platforms. Springer, who’s 28 and from New Jersey, definitely didn’t expect it to go like this.

Then things got even weirder when a fake statement supposedly from Byron started making the rounds. It said: “I want to acknowledge the moment that’s been circulating online, and the disappointment it’s caused. I also want to express how troubling it is that what should have been a private moment became public without my consent. I respect artists and entertainers, but I hope we can all think more deeply about the impact of turning someone else’s life into a spectacle.”
That statement turned out to be fake. Astronomer’s Taylor Jones told a reporter: “This is not a real statement.”
