School Is Holding Parents Responsible And Their Poster Has Taken The Internet By Storm

There has been an ongoing debate for years about the responsibility of schools to teach and bring up the children under their care. Some parents feel that it is their primary responsibility and they basically step aside and let the school system take charge. Other parents, however, take the responsibility themselves and do much of the teaching of their children at home. Of course, much of the reading, writing and arithmetic will be taught by the school system but as for moral teachings, this is something that the schools are not always equipped to handle.

One school has decided to take on this situation with a poster that they hung in their hallways. People around the world have spoken up about this poster with polarized opinions. The message was plain and simple; there are certain things that parents should handle at home when it comes to raising the children. This is something that has people standing up and taking notice.

Would you want a poster like this hung in your child’s school? It really only contains 5 simple rules but if it were followed, it could make a difference. This school felt strongly enough about the situation to post it publicly in the school hallways and then online. With so many different opinions, it is something that can have an impact and get people talking, even if they don’t agree.

“Dear parents

* We would like to remind you that magic words such as hello, please, you’re welcome, I’m sorry, and thank you, all begin to be learned at home
* It’s also at home that children learn to be honest, to be on time, diligent, show friends their sympathy, as well as show utmost respect for their elders and all teachers.
* Home is where they learn to be clean, not talk with their mouths full, and how/where to properly dispose of garbage.
* Home is also where they learn to be organized, to take good care of their belongings, and that it’s not ok to touch others.
* Here at school, on the other hand, we teach language, math, history, geography, physics, sciences, and physical education. We only reinforce the education that children receive at home from their parents.”
