Sara Bareilles Stuns The Audience With ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’

Many people consider Elton John to be one of the greatest popular singers of our time. Although he has officially called it quits and stepped away from touring, his music continues to live on in our minds and hearts.

Sometimes, we hear someone who covers one of Elton John’s songs and before we know it, it’s as if the song is fresh to us once again. That is what happened when Sarah Bareilles covered his classic ballad, ‘Goodbye Yellow Brick Road’.

It happened in 2024 when the singer was at The Kennedy Center. She began with the piano part, which was very easy to identify but when her beautiful voice tied in, it wasn’t long before the entire audience was carried away.

If it wasn’t enough to hear her playing the piano and singing, the National Symphony Orchestra also added to the mood for the evening. It was one of those events that would never be repeated again, but it continues to live on through the performance on YouTube.

It’s amazing when somebody can take a song as popular and as big of a classic as Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, and change it in such a way that it almost becomes a new song. Undoubtedly, this performance by Sara Bareilles will continue to be a classic that people tune into over and over again.
