When it comes to controversy, you would have a difficult time doing more than what Sam Smith has done. The fashion choices alone are enough to turn heads and people are constantly talking about the way that they look when they are out on the town.
One of the questions that Smith recently received and he seems to receive it often is about the gender that they are. Some may even step over the line to a greater extent, asking if they are ever going to get a gender change.
Smith decided to face up to those comments and his answer was that they didn’t want to. They said: “It’s simple, I am not a man and I am not a woman.” Rather than being one or the other, Smith said that they are a mix of things and cannot be characterized under one particular stereotype.
They also said during an Instagram live session that when you hear people talking about you constantly, it is not an enjoyable thing. They said that non-binary would perhaps be the best category to put them under and Smith was surprised the people were so confused about it.
I’m not sure if I’m more confused at this point or not.
