Celebrities tend to get a lot of attention. At times, that attention is for all the right reasons and at other times, it’s for questionable motives.
One individual who has certainly received a lot of attention since they rose to celebrity status is Sam Smith. They are well known for being a non-binary, perhaps even more so than their talent but now people are questioning their gender.
Recently, Sam Smith had a talk with The Times after people were questioning their gender more often. He said that they are non-binary and consider it to be the fact of their life, saying that nothing would change it regardless of how much they speculate.
In the interview, Sam Smith said that they had always felt like that and it was only after they heard similar experiences from other people after they came out that it made them feel confident. They also realize that it is a subject that is talked about more and more frequently.
One of the things that the star had a problem with was body dysmorphia. They said that after they had an opportunity to understand the entire body, that part of their life began to change.
They said: “As I started to address that, I began to address my gender and I realized that I was holding myself back towards these ideals of how a man should appear. Look, I have a woman’s thighs and I have their breasts and I’m proud of it!”
It was something that was in the back of their mind for many years and it wasn’t until 2018 that they finally decided to go public and come out. They also talked about how they used to wear girl’s clothing and makeup to school and their parents didn’t mind. Sam appreciates that they didn’t make them to be something that they were not.
