That is when she named Burt Reynolds as being the worst kiss she ever received on screen. When the host asked if they were dating at the time, she said that she had to ‘look the other way’ while Smokey and the Bandit was being filmed.
Cohen seemed shocked, but she continued to say that Reynolds did a lot of ‘drooling’ while they were filming the movie together. They formed a relationship during the movie and ended up dating for almost 5 years.
During the last three decades of his life, before he died, Sally Field did not have any communication with him. She explained: “He was not someone I could be around.
“He was simply not a good fit for me at all. Additionally, he had somehow created the illusion that I was more significant to him than he had previously believed, even though I wasn’t. All he wanted was the thing that he was without. Simply put, I didn’t want to handle that.”
